THIEVES stole a six foot tall bronze stag – from an island in the middle of a picturesque pond.
They hauled the £1,000 sculpture across a nine foot deep stretch of water outside the Boar Inn pub in Moddershall.
Now its owners are appealing for help to find the statue after it went missing last week.
