Sunderland footballer Adam Johnson has been sacked by the club after he admitted sexual activity with a child.
The 28-year-old from Castle Eden, County Durham, appeared at Bradford Crown Court yesterday where he pleaded guilty to one count of sexual activity with a child and one charge of grooming.
He will stand trial on Friday on two further counts of sexual activity with a child, which he denies.
