FAMILIES are celebrating after plans to sell off their 'much-loved' park were dropped – but remain worried the site could still be developed in the future.
More than 200 campaigners had planned a protest to stop Chinky Park in Kidsgrove being put up for sale.
And about 100 still turned out on Saturday to prove to councillors they made the right decision.
But some fear Chinky Park, also known as Newchapel Recreation Ground, could be earmarked for sale again.
