PROLIFIC criminal Dene Craggs has been handed a 12-month conditional discharge for theft – despite having 60 convictions.
The 38-year-old, of Scrivener Road, Cliffe Vale, admitted stealing eight dresses worth £82 belonging to Matalan, Longton, on March 3.
Lynn Warrington, prosecuting, told North Staffordshire Justice Centre Craggs had 60 offences of theft and dishonesty on his record and was currently serving a 12-week jail sentence for theft.
