AN EXTRA £400,000 is to be spent on school improvement work across the city to help raise standards in classrooms.
The cash will go towards a variety of support projects, tailored to the needs of individual primary and secondary schools.
Steps could include getting some of the top schools to work with struggling ones so they can offer coaching for teachers and help with specific aspects of the curriculum.
