SINGERS have paid tribute to a grandfather-of-two who helped to found one of the area's most respected choirs.
Terry Brookes spent more than 50 years with the Daleian Singers, as their first tenor, since they started in 1957.
The 77-year-old, from The Westlands, died on Sunday after being taken ill in the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
