Parents are being urged to make themselves aware of the problems which can arise when travelling abroad with children who don't share their surname.
It is not uncommon for parents to different surnames to their children, but many don't know the issues the situation can cause at airports.
Potentially holiday-ruining trouble could arise including being 'unknowingly embroiled in a child abduction case' or even refused past check-in.
