A 19-year-old man has been assaulted while walking down the street. The man was walking down Ryder Road, Meir, at around 7pm on Monday when a group of men jumped out of a car behind him. One of the men then punched the victim to the ground before kicking him several times. The man went into the Bargain Booze shop in Blurton Road, Blurton, at around 9.45pm last night brandishing what was described as a kitchen knife.
