Cheshire Police are currently dealing with a serious collision on the A534 Cat and Fiddle Road, near to the Cat and Fiddle Inn, Macclesfield.

Cannabis grower caught smoking joint during police raid
CANNABIS grower Robert Woolley was caught red-handed smoking a joint when police carried out a raid at his home.
Officers went to the address in Heathcote Road, Longton, following a report of a smell of cannabis.
North Staffordshire Justice Court heard that they arrived to find 27-year-old Woolley outside smoking some of his homegrown stash.
Andrew Bodger, prosecuting, said: "The defendant immediately told officers there was five ounces of cannabis in the house."

Alcoholic caught on camera with knife after street row
ALCOHOL-dependent Darren Bodden has been jailed after he took a kitchen knife to a dispute between two groups.
The 45-year-old – who has a history of carrying prohibited weapons and knives – took the four-and-a-half inch blade to an incident in Fenton where two groups were 'squaring up'.
He then wiped the knife on his sleeve and hid it behind a shop to try and avoid being detected.

Police were called to a fight in an alleyway near to the Coral bookmakers on King Street, in Fenton, at 7.20pm.
Two police cars and one ambulance were in attendance. Police are still at the scene.
Two men were involved in the fight and one male has been arrested for assault.

PUB regular Simon Wintle sparked a violent fracas when he struck another customer over the head with a bar stool.
Trouble flared in the Black Horse Inn, in Castle Street, Chesterton, after several drinkers started shouting at each other.

North Staffordshire hospitals face losing 100 beds
THE number of beds at North Staffordshire's community hospitals is set to be slashed by 100.
The bed-reduction numbers – from 250 to 150 – are revealed in a five-year strategy produced by North Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The closures are being proposed to raise enough cash to treat people in their own homes.

TWO siblings are appearing on TV screens across the country in a new advert for the leisure store GO Outdoors.
Jessica Cresswell, aged nine, and her eight-year-old brother Callum, who train at Stone performing arts academy Rooftop Studios, were cast in the ad following auditions in Manchester in early March.
