THE scene of a fatal road collision has re-opened after a car crash in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to Congleton Road, in Mow Cop, at 4.45am after reports of a collision.
The accident, which involved just one car, led to the death of the vehicle's driver – a man who has not been identified by Staffordshire Police.
Congleton Road remained closed for several hours while officers carried out an investigation, but has now re-opened.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault on the Trentham Estate.
