Police are appealing for information following the theft of valuable oriental gamefowl in Stoke-on-Trent. The rare Ganoi and Mianwali Ansil chickens were taken in two separate raids on a secure outbuilding at a house in Star and Garter Road, Lightwood. The first break-in happened on Thursday May 14 with the second on Thursday June 28. A total of 29 birds were stolen and police are now investigating to see if the two incidents are linked.
