RELATIVES of First World War soldiers from North Staffordshire say the area deserves to host an iconic poppy display.
The Potteries will miss out on this year's tour of the Weeping Window – a stunning piece of art made up of thousands of ceramic poppies – despite playing a vital role in creating the project.
Following the snub The Sentinel re-launched a campaign calling for the area to host the tour – which has since been backed by hundreds of campaigners.
