ARMED police were called after reports that two youths were seen with a gun near a takeaway.
Eye witnesses told The Sentinel a young man, who was with a woman, was seen with a firearm.
Around five police cars descended on Sandon Road, Meir, near to Hamzas takeaway and Broadway Fish Bar, at around 8pm.
The police helicopter was also seen circling in the area.
It is understood two people have been arrested.
