POLICE today arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of money laundering – following a routine stop.
The man was stopped near to Stone Industrial Estate at about 10am this morning while heading southbound on the A34.
And a subsequent search found that he was in possession of a large quantity of cash – and was unable to provide an explanation as to why he had it.
After being questioned the man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was bailed.
