THE new head of Staffordshire University has promised to place it as the heart of efforts to regenerate the Potteries.
Liz Barnes, who was born and bred in the county, officially took up post as vice-chancellor today.
Her appointment comes as the university is undergoing major changes, with thousands of students and staff relocating to its main campus in Stoke as part of a multi-million pound investment.
