Businesses are being urged to offer employees one hour of paid leave – to ensure they are able to vote in the General Election.
PR firm Stone Junction has launched an online petition to encourage companies to allow staff time off on June 8 as part of its efforts to raise awareness of the importance of voting.
The Stafford firm's 16 staff will be allowed to come into work an hour later, leave work an hour earlier or take an hour off during the day to vote.
