Police seek witnesses after bike stolen in Newcastle
Police are appealing for information after a bicycle was stolen in Newcastle.
The theft happened on Tuesday, July 7, between 9.30pm and 10.45pm.
The victim was riding his bike in Silverdale Community Park, when he pushed off by an unknown male who stole the bike and rode off in the direction of Silverdale Church.
Fortunately the victim, a 29-year-old man from Newcastle, was uninjured during the incident.

THE family of a 10-year-old boy are in dispute with their son's school – after a playground accident saw him miss out on a free bike or scooter for 100 per cent attendance.
Lewis Sutton missed out on one afternoon mark after bumping his head during the lunch break and being advised to go to A&E.

DRINK-DRIVER Kiely Welsh stole a car and crashed it into a telegraph pole.
The 26-year-old took the Seat Leon without permission after its owner – an acquaintance of Welsh – left him in the passenger seat and the keys in the ignition.
Magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard witnesses saw Welsh driving 'too fast' before the car swerved, span 180 degrees and crashed. The car was written off.

23-year-old woman 'ate herself to death'
A YOUNG woman 'ate herself to death' after her rare eating disorder was not effectively treated.
Kirsty Derry, aged 23, was found dead in her supported living flat at Victoria Mews, Stone.
An inquest heard she was just two-years-old when she was diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome, where sufferers experience a constantly high appetite.
It led to her diabetes and when she died her Body Mass Index was 42.1 when a normal BMI is 19 to 25.

Killer jailed for murder of mum-of-three Lindsay Hughes
MURDERER Peter Plant will spend a minimum of 15 years behind bars for killing Lindsay Hughes.
The 47-year-old was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court this afternoon after pleading guilty to murdering the mother-of-three.
Miss Hughes, aged 38, was battered to death at Plant's flat in Tunstall on February 27.
Plant, of Furlong Road, was given a life sentence with a minimum term of 15 years by Judge Michael Chambers QC.

A50 blocked after accident
Motorists are being warned to expect severe delays on the Westbound A50 after an accident on the dual carriageway.
Reports from the Highways Agency say the road near to its junction with the A5007 near Heron Cross is blocked and eye witnesses warn of vehicles backing up to the Meir tunnel.
Recovery work is ongoing and police are directing traffic.

A FORMER Stoke City trainee claims he told Professional Footballers Association (PFA) chief executive Gordon Taylor about the club's apprentices being assaulted.
